What’s a Hoodie?
Hooded sweatshirts are called “hoodies” today. They can be pullover hoodies or zip-up hoodies, whichever you like best and are most comfortable wearing.
Zip-up hoodies are convenient for tossing on over a t-shirt on cool evenings or if there’s just a slight chill in the air. You just unzip it and take it off when it warms up.
Pullover hoodies work best when you’re going to be outdoors for a length of time on a cool day or evening when you won’t have a need to remove it.
You can even wear hoodies under a coat to add an extra layer of warmth and protection on cold winter days.

In the past, hoodies were most often worn by young people. Whenever you heard a news story and somebody wearing a “hoodie” was involved, it was probably a young kid. They’d pull the hood way down around their face to disguise themselves and avoid identification.
Today you see hoodies everywhere, not just on young kids. Hoodies aren’t plain anymore either and you can see people wearing them all year ’round, not just in the fall and winter seasons.

Sure, they do add another layer of protection under winter coats. However, they’re just as handy in the summer months, especially on cool evenings. And if you’re hanging out with friends, wear matching couple hoodies with faith-based sayings. It’s an easy way to start a conversation about your faith and the church you go to.

Mom and dad aren’t the only ones who wear hoodies. We have kids’ hoodies, too. They can match mom and dad or have a graphic just for them.
You Can Never Have Just One Hoodie
It’s always a good idea to have more than one in your closet. We’ve often visited friends and family and I’ve forgotten a jacket or sweater. Inevitably, one of my friends will bring me out a hoodie to wear. Sharing is caring, right?
You may have different color hoodies or collect a few with your favorite sayings or Bible verses on them. Just about anything you can put on a Christian t-shirt you can put on a Christian hoodie! How great is that?
