Okay, sometimes we Christians take ourselves way too seriously. But there are some design ideas for funny t-shirts for Christians that you can even put on other Christian merch.
Sometimes these are quotes you can get right from Bible – God’s Word – proving that even the Lord has a sense of humor, and I’ve made some funny t-shirts and other merch with humorous quotes on them.
I Think Even Jesus Would Like Funny T-shirts
We like to think that Jesus had a sense of humor. He was, after all, human and perfect. Though the Bible doesn’t explicitly say that Jesus laughed, not every single day of His life is accounted for in God’s Word.
Common sense and logic say that there must have been some appropriate times when things were humorous that Jesus would have laughed. And if t-shirts were available back in His day, who knows? He may have even worn one!

Some of these really are quite humorous when you take them out of context:
Proverbs 27:15 “A continual dripping on a very rainy day And a contentious woman are alike;”
Job 19:17 “My breath is offensive to my wife, And I am repulsive to the children of my own body.”
Proverbs 21:19 “Better to dwell in the wilderness, Than with a contentious and angry woman.”
Deuteronomy 14:21 “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
The Talking Donkey
Yes, God made a donkey talk. I’m not talking about Dr. Doolittle here. I’m talking about the Old Testament! Numbers 22:21-29
28 Then the Lord opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?”
29 And Balaam said to the donkey, “Because you have abused me. I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would kill you!”
30 So the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey on which you have ridden, ever since I became yours, to this day? Was I ever disposed to do this to you?”
Now that’s a funny Christian story right out of the Bible: “So the donkey said…”
I don’t know about you, but if I was within earshot and I heard a talking donkey, I think I may have giggled a bit. I can imagine the Lord sitting upon His throne smiling and saying, “Okay, Balaam. If you’re not going to listen to Me, listen to this talking donkey.”
Jonah and Great Fish
17 “Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”
Now, that must have been a BIG fish but also one that didn’t have much of a digestive system because Jonah wasn’t eaten; he was just swallowed, then floated around in the fish’s belly for a few days. I can’t imagine God not laughing when He came up with this punishment for Jonah.
Weird and Funny T-shirts for Christians
There are even weirder, sometimes eerie but also funny incidents throughout the Bible that will make you scratch your head. You may wonder if the writers of The Walking Dead weren’t reading the Book of Ezekiel!

God created everything! And he had to have a reason for those creations. Have you ever just sat in one place and done some people-watching – just for laughs?
